Get yourself in position
Isaiah 42:15-17
I will lead the blind by ways they have not
known, along unfamiliar path I will guide them; I will turn the darkness
into light before them and make the rough places smooth. These are the things I
will do I will not forsake them.
God has a way of making us uncomfortable in order to move
us out of our comfortable/set places. Instead many fight what God is trying to
do in their lives. As children of God we are not to be locked into a place. God
elevates, promotes, increases & much more. God uses our uncomfortable
situations to PUSH US INTO SOMETHING GREATER!!
~Virginia Gail Howard
Many of us, like myself, have been called by God to have a larger purpose in life then what is just within the city limits of Minneapolis, MN. My gifts were expanded 2 years ago from Minnesota but I am grateful for the opportunity to leave seeds in Minneapolis that have harvested to the younger generation. There is absolutely no reason why you cannot pass on information, opportunities or blessings to others. Because of this very reason I am honored to introduce you this gifted young man, Brandon Johnson, 21 who has decided to go above and beyond the odds to follow his dreams and aspirations to live out his dreams no matter the distance from the norm. I asked Brandon what was the most difficult part of him following his dreams and he said, "It was leaving his mother, Ne Ne Hollie Jones, siblings and dog."
Pictured above is Brandon Johnson, Drummer and Artist Kelly Price.
Brandon proudly accepted the position as the new drummer for "Kelly Price" thanks goes all to God ! #Favor
As difficult as it was for this talented drummer, Brandon Johnson, deciding to walk out on faith after utilizing everything that he has learned in Minneapolis, MN growing up in church to move to Los Angeles to pursue his dreams and to educate himself further in his skill. Not asking for a hand out nor a door to be open, Brandon positioned himself to be blessed. Being in the right place at the right time and with the right skill set needed to be elevated was key. So many desire to be blessed and to have supernatural doors to be open but don't want to put in the work. Faith without works is dead and this principle has been taught to him since he was born.
Believing in your dreams won't always be easy yet the possibility is always there IF you decide to put God first. Coming from a strong spiritual and natural family, Brandon has always overcome the odds of society to walk out of the plan that God has set for him. Trusting God makes things work out for your good and for His Glory.
A few weeks back Bishop T.D. Jakes had a sermon at the Woman Thou Art Loose conference entitled the P.E.C.K.ing Orders. The key points were to Positioning, Exposure, Courage, and Knowledge. Knowing that this conference was just for women the message remains the same for men as well; I was reminded of this very sermon when I saw the accomplishments of Brandon. He did what was necessary to get into the correct P.E.C.K.ing Order to receive what God had for him.
When you get there (where ever God calls you to go in your purpose and calling) the provision will be made step by step by step. Brandon is a living witness to this opportunity and I thank God that I could be a part of his blessing. Honoring him is my pleasure because he has shown us all that no matter the obstacle that comes up during the task given it is critical to trust God. Throughout the process, things can't always be easy because the outcome won't be appreciated. Continue to work the plan that God has set for you and embrace the process. Just as Brandon has decided to increase his knowledge of his skill, playing the drums, his purpose is far greater than that in life. He has solicited the help of coaches and instructors that have paved the way in the journey of success. Although Brandon has his own path to take, he realizes there is nothing wrong with getting help along the way.
I recommend you doing the same.

Stuck on Purpose
On this day in 2010, I set
my GPS and followed God's direction from Minneapolis, MN to Ocean Springs, MS.
With many limitation that I visually seen: no car, self-employed, 3 kids, no
family, unfamiliar place, etc. God provided all of our needs.
When you trust God the opportunities are endless and the process may not feel good but well worth it! Approaching 2 years being in Mississippi, I've never been happier or more blessed. God knows the end result so I decided to trust him with the process. Embracing it the best I know how.
The promises God gave me will never return back void so put works with my faith and watched that thing grow tremendously. I may not be perfect but I'm here!!!
Praise God

I want this...
Have you had a dream that consist of many intricate details that seemed larger than you? It was a sign, a vision, a dream or even a warning but where did it come from. Of course, it seemed unattainable because that was its desired purpose to be larger than you can accomplish on your own. Understanding the obvious about your bills being due, no money in the bank, relationship issues, kids misbehaving and your job keeps sending letters about the recession weekly. Is there reasons to believe that you can do these very thoughts, dreams, or suggestions that were placed in your heart? Well, you believe that God is the alpha and omega, the beginning and the end, but is he your all and all.
Singing, “I trust you!” By James Fortune and F.Y.R.E. really
is that how you want the world to see you is as a liar because to trust God
with the car repair (as long as you have the mechanic on speed dial/ on
credit), the lack of money ( as long as you have a job), your husband is losing
his mind (as long as he brings his check home)- Let’s be real with ourselves
for a minute people. God is God! It doesn’t matter your circumstances or
situations. Take the limits off of God so that you can receive all that He has
for you and your life. I often take
“reflection days”. You know what I am talking about so don’t get brand new. I
encourage everyone else and say, “When I look back over my life and all the
things He has done for me my soul cries out Hallelujah!” But do we really? Ah,
I beg to differ. God is a just God. If he did it for anyone else he will do it
for me.
So what is it that I want: the business, the cars, the
money, the marriage, and the world if I didn’t have to give it back. Selfishly
having my hand out to receive but to give is another story. I want so much for
you to see that it is about the decisions that you make to realize that God is
in control of all things.

Routine vs. Relationship
Church day is coming around again for some of you. Are you going because Big Mama taught you or it's routine?
Whether it was right or wrong our elders taught us what they knew. Hymns, moans, and groans to express their relationship with the Lord. Graciously respecting the service at hand but reflecting on the unfamiliar state of this ministry. Dignified by the education received people from all walks of Land. Having a personal relationship vs. a public display of religion of the church. You can't say you know the personal walks of people that you see near you nor the trials people in your church that you sit next to every Sunday. Yet, you judge unbeknownst to the bible that you read that speaks against such thing. Repeating the same patterned but broken. Not receiving what you came for week end / week out. Is this how life is suppose to be?
It's a whole lot of people AT CHURCH but not IN CHURCH.
The same Jesus that you worship knows EXACTLY why you are coming to church "Sunday" religion. Expecting something from the 30 min message for a life time of problems.
"The church works" it's the hospital to those that are hurting. My issue is that God is ALL KNOWING. So as the people of we must be careful how we treat others in the building. Giving excuses for the way you treat others.
Congrats! You been coming to church all this time, sitting in the pews or chairs and not giving others the compassion you expect to receive from God.
God knows! Psalms 179.
Grace and Mercy is a gift from God. I shouldn't be surprised by the way people treat others especially "church folks" because God knows what will take place before it goes down.
Do you REALLY want what you've been asking for? I challenge you to
Praise God and do the work you expect receive from others when you fall because trust me baby you will.
Do you like what you are in? The hurt, the pain, etc gets you the attention you receive.
Ask God for something and you can't handle what you've been asking for.
Stop looking for the traditional way to be delivered from your current situation. Stop counting on folks and put your trust in God.
Get up! Go forward ! Keep it simple sweetie!
John 5:1-6 is this your day?
So, what do you choose to be stuck on...routine or relationship?

How to Find Purpose in Everyday Living
Start the day with this question, “How may I serve you?” How you answer this question is the key to “how to find purpose in everyday living.”
The definition of “everyday living” will vary from person to person. One size does not fit all and none of us have truly identical circumstances. Try as we may to compare and size ourselves up to others, we are who we are. Each one of us is unique.
I want to share with you, the keys I have found to be most useful to unlocking the secrets of “how to find purpose in everyday living.”
It’s time to start acknowledging our purpose. Drop the clichés–I’m just saying, it’s complicated and it’s all about me just don’t serve anyone well. I encourage you to seek to serve others and you will find out firsthand how to find purpose in everyday living.
I’d love to know how you find purpose in everyday living. If you enjoyed this post, please tweet it, share it or like it on facebook.
