Coming out of the Wilderness!

Enjoying a great cup of cappuccino this morning browsing over my emails only to find another rejection email from someone who promotes empowerment to the community and I became down. Well, I composed myself and contacted my life coach and world renowned author of Girl! Power- By Dawniel Patterson-Winningham www.yourgirlpower.com and she reminded me of three things: Where I am? Where I am going? What moves am I going to take to get there?

Knowing that at the point of when I called Ms. Winningham, I felt like I was one of the Israelites wandering in the wilderness. No matter how much I do I feel like I am not going anywhere towards the end goal to my dreams being accomplished. Based on the 40-year time frame, the Israelites were stationary most of the time. Either that or they were going around in circles. Regardless to what they were doing should it have taken them that long to make it to the Promise Land?

God gave me the plan. He hid it all in me. Little old me and equipped me to expose it to the world. So after speaking with my life coach I realized that those three things were no different than the Israelites in the wilderness. Regardless to my “process”, God has kept and sustained me. I know the promises that have been given to me and regardless to how faithful I’ve been to God; His word has never returned void. The decisions that I have made to stand still, kick my feet in the sand, or even sit down on the gifts and talents that are within me; the promises are still there.

It’s time to stop wasting time wandering people. The world is waiting on you to expose the gifts and talents that have been placed in you. Someone else’s success and failure is taking place today because you have been too afraid to have faith and trust God at His word.

I thank God for those that He has in my life that PUSHES ME to stretch out on His word and promises for my life. Now I challenge you today to go beyond your personal limitations and fears to be all that you have been called to be.

Congratulations you are expecting!!!

Shocked, astonished, or excited may be the emotions that you have at that moment you hear that you are expecting but unbeknownst to you the transformation and changes that will take place from the time of conceptions to the birth are surreal. How many times have you received the news that you, a friend, or a family member was expecting and it wasn’t planned nor were ready for it at that time? Well, let us go way back to seventh grade (some learned in the third as my daughter expressed a couple weeks ago) to discuss sexual education.  “Where do babies come from?” most children ask their parents at a young age and it is an embarrassing conversation to engage in. Unfortunately, some grown folks don’t know much about the birthing process.

Yes, we know it starts with a seed and that the seed must be fertilized. Well, you have this great idea that is within you that started as a seed as well. Proverbs 18:21 tells us that “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits.” For many, the idea of thinking big when all hell is breaking loose around them: marriage falling apart, being a single parent, layoffs, car troubles and bills at an all-time high. Yet the seed it still present waiting patiently to be fertilized with the right encouragement, support, financial capital, and opportunity to be conceived by this society.

False reality appearing real=FEAR rearing its head lingering around like a lions lurking for its prey. Friends and family that you feel will have your back but are cramped in a box of limitation. Finances so low that you should have had a burial for all the IOUs that you have to others. No need to call Paul to tell him about this “seed” because you owe him money that you borrowed from him to pay Peter last week so that the “man” wouldn’t turn you off. The disconnection that you feel from God because you go to church all the time only to get recharged on Sunday and by Monday you realized that you are running on generics. Who can I call on? Who will believe in me? I have all these gifts and talents but nothing to show for them. I have faith in the easy things but… Your gift will make room for you (Proverbs 18:16). If you take the first step by faith, He will guide you the rest of the way.

Put all of your trust in God and He will connect you to the right people at the right time. Remember, there are more for you than against you (2Kings 6:16). Know that not everyone in your circle is for you. The devil hears your prayers too and his assignment is to kill, steal, and destroy you. Do you know your plan?  Well, it is time that you get one. Habakkuk 2:2-3 And the Lord answered me: Write the vision: make it plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it. For still the vision awaits its appointed time: it hastens to the end-it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it: it will surely come; it will not delay.

The time is now to fertilize your seeds. I would like to be the first to congratulate you on what God has in store for you. Understand that theirs an outpouring of blessings that the Lord has for his people in this season. - Joel 2:28 "And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions."  Don’t feel alone because where God is taking you some in your circle may not be elevating at the same pace or at all as you. Some will be left behind dying off with the same opportunities afforded to them as you do. I advise you to take this chance to link up with me as you begin this journey to achieve all that is for you.

What are you stuck on?

Why are you afraid of succeeding?
Habakkuk 2:2-3 And the Lord answered me: Write the vision: make it plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it. For still the vision awaits its appointed time: it hastens to the end-it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it: it will surely come; it will not delay.
Many of you have a notebook full of ideas, dreams, and aspirations that would make you millions of dollars if you would just invest the time to put forth the effort into it. I am a visionary, so I constantly think about all the million of dollar ideas and opportunities that I have “given away” to those who were undeserving. I often think whether or not I should create a charitable organization just to give ideas away. “Give Away, Inc”.
Having said that let me ask this question, “how many of you have a book that is sitting in the closet collecting dust?”  The answer is most of us has books like these in our closet.  Our assignment in life is to do unto others as we would have them do unto us while building the kingdom of God. Talents are given to everyone whether it is to sing, dance, or draw we must utilize it properly. These are talents that have been given to many of use, but how are we utilizing them to build the kingdom?
What’s holding you back for attaining all that God has in store for you? Fear? Lack?
Proverbs 28:19 whoever works his land will have plenty to eat. Whoever chases unrealistic dreams will have plenty of nothing. We all have dreams that we all began to think about as a child. I wanted to be an OB/GYN just like Heathcliff Huxtable from the Cosby Show. I was ecstatic to become an OB/GYN until I was told how many years of college that I had to have before I became one. There went the halt to those plans. What made my dreams unrealistic was the fact that I dislike being in a classroom setting. How could I realistically become a doctor without proper schooling?
To everything there is a season, and a time for every matter or purpose under the heavens~ Ecclesiastics 3:1. The Word of God is plain here. Get Ready! Get Ready! Get Ready!
