Routine vs. Relationship

Church day is coming around again for some of you. Are you going because Big Mama taught you or it's routine?

Whether it was right or wrong our elders taught us what they knew. Hymns, moans, and groans to express their relationship with the Lord. Graciously respecting the service at hand but reflecting on the unfamiliar state of this ministry. Dignified by the education received people from all walks of Land. Having a personal relationship vs. a public display of religion of the church. You can't say you know the personal walks of people that you see near you nor the trials people in your church that you sit next to every Sunday. Yet, you judge unbeknownst to the bible that you read that speaks against such thing. Repeating the same patterned but broken. Not receiving what you came for week end / week out. Is this how life is suppose to be?

It's a whole lot of people AT CHURCH but not IN CHURCH.
The same Jesus that you worship knows EXACTLY why you are coming to church "Sunday" religion. Expecting something from the 30 min message for a life time of problems.

"The church works" it's the hospital to those that are hurting. My issue is that God is ALL KNOWING. So as the people of we must be careful how we treat others in the building. Giving excuses for the way you treat others.

Congrats! You been coming to church all this time, sitting in the pews or chairs and not giving others the compassion you expect to receive from God.

God knows! Psalms 179.
Grace and Mercy is a gift from God. I shouldn't be surprised by the way people treat others especially "church folks" because God knows what will take place before it goes down.

Do you REALLY want what you've been asking for? I challenge you to
Praise God and do the work you expect receive from others when you fall because trust me baby you will.

Do you like what you are in? The hurt, the pain, etc gets you the attention you receive.

Ask God for something and you can't handle what you've been asking for.

Stop looking for the traditional way to be delivered from your current situation. Stop counting on folks and put your trust in God.
Get up! Go forward ! Keep it simple sweetie!
John 5:1-6 is this your day?

So, what do you choose to be stuck on...routine or relationship?

How to Find Purpose in Everyday Living

Start the day with this question, “How may I serve you?” How you answer this question is the key to “how to find purpose in everyday living.”
The definition of “everyday living” will vary from person to person. One size does not fit all and none of us have truly identical circumstances. Try as we may to compare and size ourselves up to others, we are who we are. Each one of us is unique.
I want to share with you, the keys I have found to be most useful to unlocking the secrets of “how to find purpose in everyday living.”
  • Always begin with prayer.
  • Don’t work; instead serve.
  • Tell others what the Lord has done for you.
  • Don’t underestimate His power.
  • Trust in His provisions.
  • Know what to hold and what to turn loose.
  • Have faith in God.
  • Ask believing.
  • Love the Lord your God completely.

Find purpose in the most mundane task by asking, “How may I serve you?” So many times we look for the glory in doing. This gives the man-made provision not the spiritual reward. Are you looking for your 15-minutes of fame or are you seeking something more eternal?

It’s time to start acknowledging our purpose. Drop the clichés–I’m just saying, it’s complicated and it’s all about me just don’t serve anyone well. I encourage you to seek to serve others and you will find out firsthand how to find purpose in everyday living.
I’d love to know how you find purpose in everyday living.  If you enjoyed this post, please tweet it, share it or like it on facebook.

Be Joyful. Be Happy. Be Radiant!

A Blessing for you

Hebrews 11:1 NIV 1 Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.

I used this application bible as the text because many misunderstand that as we believe in something that we don't presently have it is only the beginning of the process. Lets break down the scripture, NOW FAITH- well that means it ...is something in the present or current tense. IS CONFIDENCE- that is the state of mind in which comforts you as your proceed in the current tense. Now who is the comforter (the Holy Ghost), no way around it it is yours for the asking after repentence of your sins and the water baptism with the guarenteed promise of the evidence (spiritual gifts) of the Holy Ghost. Lets get back to the text... IN WHAT WE HOPE FOR- well lets define hope. Webster dictionary say as a noun hope is: A feeling of expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen.

Well, how many of your wake up, open your eyes and walk in expectency? That is scripturual. And to complete this text and round this corner...ASSURANCE ABOUT WHAT WE DO NOT SEE...I don't see you as you take the time to read this post but I trust that God will save you and deliver you from anything that is hindering your growth right now. As God is moving in today's time we may not know what is going to happen in our lives but just know as the prayer was sent in Jesus' Name that is just as good as pushing "SHARE" on the next facebook status update. It is already done just walk it out. I will leave you with this: in life when the ground you walk seems to be rocky and unsettling, its not the path that should get your focus, It's the LORD! #Faith

Preparing for a Shift part 1

God is preparing me for a Shift...However, as it is written:1 Corinthians 2:9-10 "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him"--but God has revealed it to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.

I won't ever again apologize for what God is doing in my life. Nor will I apologize that some won't be invited to this next level. The hand of God is shifting things around in my life and I can't explain it. But it is happening quickly. All I ask is that you seek Him on your own, for that is what I am doing. I've accepted my calling into the ministry back in July of 2010 and I've never been the same. In due season, my entire testimony will be exposed to be a blessing to others but in the meantime God is working some things out in me and I need your help.

If you are reading this blog that means that I know that you have the ability to pray for me as I am obedient in this walk with the Lord. When God moved me from MN to an unfamilar land of Ocean Springs,MS with no family or friends here unbeknowst to me that I would be given such a task. To much is given~much is required Luke 12:48 and knowing that there is no time to play. I need you to pray for me and my daughters' strength in the Lord during this transition.

I thank God for what He is doing in my life. With such a great annointing on my life its time to get started.

Loving with a purpose,
LaTracey N. Copeland

Birthing Purpose

I was reminded today that last year this time God allowed physical limitation from cervical and ovarian cancer to overtake my body and have me on my back. Dr. announced that I am on strict bed rest for the remainder of my pregnancy. First, I was uncomfortable about not having the ability to get up and do for myself and my daughters then remembering that last year God spoke so much into me that I was absorbed with the presence of God in a way that separated me from those I thought would be in my corner.

To wait on God and allow Him to direct the path in your life is what is necessary in the growth of any Christian. I can’t imagine where I would be if I didn’t have God to instruct my journey. God is so good to me! I just had to have a praise break for a moment. I look back and realize that after my surgeries the doctors told me that I would never give birth again, but at my 6 month follow up appointment the doctors said that I am cancer free and pregnant. I know I heard God tell me that the SHift is happening now and that I would be birthing purpose but my God who would have thought.

Well, my husband didn’t agree with the blessings that God had in store for this next level and decided to leave our family because of his own fear and selfish reasons BUT GOD! Romans 8:28 states: And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. I am grateful that as of today, I am on strict bed rest in the process of birthing purpose. I can only imagine what God has in store for me during this season. JESUS!

While resting today, I was planning for the baby shower which is scheduled for next Saturday and a lady from church called to see if she could bring some things by for us. I graciously accepted until she got here and gave me a stuffed animal that I thought was a sheep. It wasn’t anything less than a lamb for baby Purpose. YES, I decided to name the baby girl, Purpose for several reasons.

Do you know what the importance of the Lamb is? When Jesus is called the Lamb of God in John 1:29 and John 1:36, it is referring to Him as the perfect and ultimate sacrifice for sin. In order to understand who Christ was and what He did, we must begin with the Old Testament, which contains prophecies concerning the coming of Christ as a “guilt offering” (Isaiah 53:10). In fact, the whole sacrificial system established by God in the Old Testament set the stage for the coming of Jesus Christ, who is the perfect sacrifice God would provide as atonement for the sins of His people (Romans 8:3; Hebrews 10).

Don’t get me wrong, I understand that I was not in the will of the Lord when I went with my own emotions to get married only to cover up the sin of pre-marital sex. The sacrifice of lambs played a very important role in the Jewish religious life and sacrificial system. When John the Baptist referred to Jesus as the “Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world” (John 1:29).Trust me when I say that I am grateful that Jesus gave the ultimate sacrifice for my sins ahead of time. Even though that wasn’t an excuse to do it but know that God has redeemed me for the sins committed knowingly and unknowingly.

Another important sacrifice involving lambs was the daily sacrifice at the temple in Jerusalem. Every morning and evening, a lamb was sacrificed in the temple for the sins of the people (Exodus 29:38-42) these daily sacrifices, like all others, were simply to point people towards the perfect sacrifice of Christ on the cross.  Of course, that person was none other than Jesus Christ, “the Lamb of God.”

For my unborn daughter, Purpose, we were blessed with a crib, a changing table, and a huge bag of items that had the lamb on them. To others it’s just a theme, but to me it is truly a way of life that God has granted me for giving him my life. I know that I am not perfect and I cannot continue to beat myself up for the past and present sins that I have committed. I know that God is my savior and forever more He lives in me.
I am so glad that I made the choice to live for Christ, not perfect and sinful nature I am but I am HIS. In making my choice to live for Him, God has allowed me to be the vessel for so many and carry His purpose within me during this season. I appreciate the gifts given for my baby and the lessons that come along with it to share to the world on today.  What choice have you made on today that will impact your life for eternity?
